The Aquatic Games is an Olympic-style youth tournament created by 5-Time Olympian & Silver Medalist Tony Azevedo.

The event brings together athletes from across the globe and is designed to inspire the next generation of great water polo players. The Games offer ample opportunity for elite top-level play, but go a step beyond other youth tournaments by including a clinic with Olympians, private athlete/coach feedback sessions, evaluation through the 6-8 Challenge and an educational component.

Registration is on an individual basis (no teams). Athletes will run through the 6-8 Challenge on the first day of the event, and will be broken into equal teams based on their results. All athletes will meet their coaches that evening at Opening Ceremonies and have a 45 minute practice together the next morning. The age categories are 10U co-ed, 12U boys/girls and 14U boys/girls.

The 2019 Games will be held in at Long Beach State University (CSULB). The City of Long Beach is regarded as the “Aquatics Capital of the USA” and has produced more Olympians than any other in the nation. CSULB is one of the top schools in the state and has a strong aquatics program. Participants have the option to stay overnight at the CSULB dorms as well as tour the campus.

The Games are positioned to become the most widely recognized and premier aquatic event in the world. Eventually they may include a wide range of aquatic sports including synchronized swimming, diving and even kite surfing. Come join us for a truly unique few days of top-level water polo and family fun!
